Jerry Caruso shares his poem from US 1 Worksheets Volume 66.
Cathedral
The balloon man walked
one cold night in the country
as an ice fog formed,
his breath mixed with it
and turned his scarf, beard and eyebrows
white with frost
Out in the woods,
the trees and snow were an aethereal cathedral
He breathed out a prayer.
it tumbled out in ice crystals
and rose with the silence
Jerry famously states in his email signature "Poets who read their verse in public, may have other bad habits," a paraphrase of a quote from Robert A. Heinlein.
